Symptoms to Show that Your House Needs a Water Leakage Repair

Water leakage is the most frustrating problem that every homeowner has. Plumbing leaks are one of the homeowners' experiences. Early detection of a water leak can save you a lot of money. There are 10 signs to identify and resolve leaks as soon as possible.

1. Higher Than Usual Water Bill

If your water bill increases daily for no particular reason, then definitely it's a water leak somewhere in your home. Even small leaks can add up too fast, wasting water and running up your water bill.

2. Musty Smells from the Rooms

Basically, it's not normal for rooms to smell musty like hell. Water in one place like under a leaking pipe begins to produce a terrible odour.

3. Wall Discolouration

It is an extreme symptom. This means water might be leaking from behind the drywall. Also,

there is a chance that the water is soaking through the front side. Water stains on ceilings and

walls are usually yellowish or brownish in colour. It's a sure symptom of water leakage.

4. Damaged Flooring

If you see your bathroom floor is warping, staining and has a soft spot, a hidden leak from either the toilet pipe is suffering from a water leakage problem.

  1.   Water Stains On the Ceilings:-

A dark black or dark brown spot or other discolouration on the ceiling is a sure sign of a water leak.

  1.    Strange Noises From The

   Plumbing:-

When things are working properly, the plumbing in your home should be quiet. There are multiple reasons for this. You might hear rattling or other strange noises from your plumbing. Vibration and strange sounds must be a clear symptom of water leakage. There is a loose fitting or mount somewhere in the lines. If you hear strange hissing in your pipes it's very important to determine the cause and have it resolved.

  1.    Water Meter:-

If you are not sure about your water leak, monitoring your home's water meter will give you a sure answer.

  1.     Wet Spots:-

You may actually find wet spots in your home. These could be outside your home next to the house or on the lawn. You could see mud around the outer walls when there has been no rain. If you see there is water, mold and mildew will soon follow. Maybe structural damage too. So you follow the clues and get that leaking pipe checked out easily.

  1.     Mold And Mildew:-

A small mold and mildew in the shower place is normal even in the cleanest home. But if you see these outside the tab area you could have a pipe leak.

  1.     Patches Of Greener Grass:-

If you see an area of your garden yard that is much greener and grows faster than the rest of the grass, it could indicate the spot where a buried water line is leaking definitely.

All of the above are symptoms of a leakage, but keep in mind that all water leaks are not plumbing leaks at all.
